The Recruitment Branch of the Lok Sabha Secretariat has invited applications for the post of translator in the Lok Sabha Secretariat for direct recruitment from qualified Indian citizens. There are a total of 47 vacancies out of which 13 are vacancies for general category candidates. 3 Vacancy Scheduled Castes, 5 Vacancy Scheduled Tribes, 17 Vacancies Other Backward Classes and 9 Vacancies are for Economically Backward General Category candidates.
Qualification and experience for Lok Sabha Recruitment 2020
Have a master’s degree in Hindi from a recognized university and have English as a subject at the degree level.
or
Have a master’s degree in English from a recognized university and have Hindi as a subject at the degree level.
or
Have a master’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university and Hindi and English as a subject at degree level.
or
Should have a master’s degree in any discipline in English medium from a recognized university and Hindi has been included as a subject at degree level.
or
Have a master’s degree in any discipline in Hindi medium from a recognized university and have English as a subject at the degree level.
or
Diploma / Certificate course in Hindi to English or English to Hindi translation from any government / university recognized by the government.
or
02 years experience of translation from Hindi to English or English to Hindi in Central / State Government Offices or State Legislative Secretariats or Central / State Government Undertakings / Autonomous Bodies / High Court of India or High Court.
Age Range
The maximum age limit is 27 years. For candidates who have 2 years of translation work experience, the maximum age limit is 29 years.
